How to effectively evaluate and proof a design

When it comes to evaluating, reviewing and proofing a design, be careful whose opinion you get and most importantly how you get it.

It’s something we all do and many are required to do.  You’ve designed what you think is a great looking piece. You’ve taken into consideration the demographics of your audience, the path the eye will take across your piece, the medium upon which the design will be implemented, the message it delivers and most importantly it just looks killer.  If you answer to no one but yourself, you’re set! But odds are you do answer to someone.  It has to be perfect and it most likely needs some kind of approval. So you show it to your boss or your client, or make the rounds getting the opinions of your co-workers.

Never forget an email attachment

Google Labs has lots of neat features and projects that they are currently working on and developing.  One feature that I think we can all use is the Forgotten Attachment Detector.  When turned on it scans your emails looking for language that indicates you are trying to send an attachment. If you don’t have anything to attach, it lets you know before sending.

Watch a short on screen video about it…

As with everything in Google Labs it’s not perfect and won’t catch it every time, as it’s a work in progress. I found that once I turned the lab on I had to sign out and sign back in before it would work at all. Even if it catches it only now and then, it’s definitely worth the time and embarrassment of having to resend the attachment.

Email Marketing ROI % is off the charts!

We previously mentioned some of the early success we had in creating email marketing campaigns for one of our clients.  I was just compiling data from the last several campaigns we launched for them and these ROI numbers are so good we just thought we’d share the results.

For the year-to-date we have sent 4 email campaigns.  The sales and ROI have been growing and growing with each campaign as we closely study the results of the previous campaign and make adjustments.

Email #1
Generated $4,690 in sales for an ROI of 679%

Email #2
Generated $8,258 in sales for an ROI of 2,393%

Email #3
Generated $9,332 in sales for an ROI of 2,705%

Email #4
Generated  $9,797 in sales for an ROI of 2,840%

Those are some nicely trending numbers that all add up to one very happy client!  Contact us today to see how MODassic Marketing can help your company get that type of ROI with your internet and email marketing campaigns.
